Drama, drama, drama

Up till today, I had a friend that you could say wasn't exactly the best friend in the world. Of course, to her, we were "bff Jill's," but it was no where near that. It had gotten to the point a long time ago to where I couldn't really trust her anymore, especially stories involving other people. (She's one that is very prone to exaggeration, by about 500x.)
So, I finally decided to tell her something that I'd kept a secret from her for about 3 months, for her own good, because it involved a boy she'd been "dating" previous months before, and I didn't want to totally stab her in the back. Turns out that's what happened anyway. This is the way it happened, and I'm willing to bet that her story is a LOT different than this.
I had just gotten out of 3rd period, and I was walking with a friend from that class down to the commons area where I would find Kelly (we'll call her that for now) so I could finally tell her what I'd been keeping from her for months.
"There you are! Holy cow, you look petrified, you ok?" She said, approaching me.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I need to tell you something though." I said, starting to feel my heart racing.
"Ok, then I have something to tell you. But you tell me first." She said.
"Alright, I need to go drop my stuff off in my locker first though. Come walk with me." I said, already heading off in the opposite direction. She followed me and we walked out the doors of the school, and I was texting her ex-boyfriend, who had become my latest crush.
"Who you texting?" She asks.
"A guy." I admit.
"Oh, so there IS a guy that you like!" She says excitedly.
"Yeah, there is."
"Who is it?"
"You know him." I said, looking away from her.
"I do?"
"Yup."
"Is it Matt?"
"Oh heck no!"
"Who?!" She demanded.
"He doesn't go to our school." I said, taking a few steps away.
"No...no you didn't. Is it who I think it is?" She responded.
"Yes."
"I can't even tell you how mad that makes me." She said, staring right at me and then turning heel and walking away. I was almost about to go after her but then I remembered she'd probably kill me. I just let it be. After that confrontation, I found her in the commons area, talking to all of her friends, no doubt telling them the story. Of course. For 4 months afterward, she continued to trash talk me behind my back every single frickin' day.
